I bought this book during A&P2. I always find it helpful to quiz my self before a test. That way I can see what I still need to work on. This book was very helpful. There are so many questions and some great pictures. This would have helped me so much when I was learning the bones!

I don't have the greatest memory. I specialize, so the rest of the anatomy outside of my specialty is a bit vague from my college years. So I needed a refresher course in anatomy. Although I do have Netter's famous Atlas of Human Anatomy, that thick book it is daunting unless you are taking an anatomy class with it, too.This book is very good and long. (Still working on it.) It is a good re-introduction or starter book. I really liked the large print and the big color photos which display each section clearly. The book breaks down each each of the body with color codes on the top of the page for easier reference. They have description of each 'part' that are dry but necessary. But what I enjoyed the most were the small colored boxes which explain interesting facts about the body and how damage can cause certain side effects or why they are necessary for certain functions. Those facts made the body seem more real to me and less just memorizing. I felt I now understood how the body works together better which is not usually the case in most anatomy books. After each section there are fill in the blanks and 4 choice questions. ( I admit I haven't done the fill in the blank much.) I do feel that this book is something to return to although some people after doing all the exercises my dump it and just keep their Netter's for reference.

This covers anatomy on a basic level. It’s a big book, but most of it is taken up with pictures and test questions. There is less coloring involved than I expected, given the cover art. More of the pictures are already printed in color.I checked to see if Barron’s offered an anatomy book focused only on coloring, and indeed, they do. Barron’s The Anatomy Student’s Self-test Coloring Book is probably more what I was hoping for. I also discovered Barron’s The Anatomy Student’s Self-Test Visual Dictionary. The Anatomy Student’s Review Workbook that I am reviewing seems to be somewhat of a combo of these two, though it certainly doesn’t have everything that they do. This is a good choice for an all-in-one book. If you want to focus on coloring, then I suggest the Coloring Book; if you don’t want coloring, then I suggest the Self-Test Visual Dictionary.But that’s JustMe.

This is a wonderful anatomy book for basic anatomy. It doesn't go into highly detailed anatomy but really covers all the basics very well. I wish you could, "look inside" because this is one of those books that needs that function. I love the colored illustrations and the questions it asks. I never took an anatomy course so this book is suited for me since it's not the super in-depth anatomy books my husband has. The drawings are superb and I enjoy looking at all the different parts and learning about them. Everything is clearly numbered with lines pointing straight at the particular body part. The paper is thick and good quality. This book can easily be enjoyed by people like me as well as those who are going to take an anatomy course and want a good head start.

This is an excellent workbook for review or self-teaching. The layout and visuals, the labels and explanations, are all so clear--the large illustrations and print makes it effortless to skim--that it was easier to memorize than any other anatomy book I've used. The size of pictures and texts make studying so much faster and easier (as is so common now with extra-small font, even on drawings). The questions are excellent practice--again, making it easy to memorize and learn on your own; for a visual learner in particular, the way the written tests are laid out makes the information really "stick". I learned a lot from this book and the design made it seem easy -- I'm a fan.

This is a very thorough and detailed, yet easy to use text book for anatomy. The information is straight forward, but very detailed and complete. Everything is included you could need for basic anatomy, and the pages are in order of the systems of the biological body such as circulatory, reproductive, and respiratory systems. The pictures are in color and very clear, and the information is very understandable. The tests are great as well for seeing if you know what you need to. The cost is reasonable, and if you are studying anatomy this book would be very useful if not essential.

Great book! I teach Anat & Phys (at the high school level), and there are so many great pictures to label/color, and many useful quiz questions in this book. I could see using this as a workbook with my students to supplement my textbook--or recommending it to students who plan to pursue medical careers and could use this for extra learning/reinforcement. Recommended!

I gave this Anatomy Student's Review workbook to my daughter who is in college. She will be taking A&P in the fall and was excited to have a book for reference. With over 1000 quizzes and activities, I think it will give her that extra advantage before taking such a hard class!
